Proposal to Limit Thai Male Players per Set of 4.
To promote balanced competition and ensure fair play across all teams, we propose the introduction of a player participation limit for league matches.
Proposed Rule
Each team may field a maximum of two (2) Thai male players (including Transgender) during any set of official pool league games.
(Note: Actually, the same rules as in the Darkside Pool League where the formula is working fine)
Rationale
- Competitive
Balance:
The skill level of Thai male players is often significantly higher, which can create uneven matchups. Limiting the number of such players helps maintain a fairer level of play across all teams. - Encouragement
of Diversity:
This rule encourages teams to include a mix of players—foreign and local, male and female—promoting the social and inclusive spirit of the league. - Improved
Engagement:
Teams will be motivated to develop all their players, ensuring everyone gets a chance to play and contribute to the results. - Consistency
Across Matches:
The rule provides a clear, measurable guideline that all teams can easily follow and that referees or captains can fairly monitor during match nights.
Implementation
- The limit applies to Thai male (including Transgender) players actively participating in sets during a match (not the full team roster).
- The team can consist of more than 2 Thai players, but during set 1 to 3 (4 games each), no more than 2 Thai players can compete. The last 3 games will consist of minimum 1 or 2 expat.
- Teams may register and rotate additional players, provided that no more than two Thai male players play in the same match session.
This proposal aims to maintain fair, enjoyable, and inclusive competition while preserving the friendly and social atmosphere that defines our pool league.
